INTERNATIONAL MARRIAGE BROKER REGULATION ACT (IMBRA)

IMBRA

In 2005, due to concerns about the welfare of foreign brides, the U.S. Congress passed the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act (IMBRA). IMBRA requires that all customers of International Marriage Brokers (IMBs), and Petitioners for Fiancee Visas, disclose specific background information to the potential foreign partners. This background information includes any criminal or domestic violence history. This information is then presented to all of the potential foreign partner in her native language for signature on a release before contact can take place.

What does this law mean to customers of Adventure Romance Tours?
Since you will be meeting Colombian Women on the Adventure Romance Tours, you will be asked to provide background information for signed release prior to the start of the tour.
Adventure Romance Tours will also check the National Sex Offender public registry and state public registry to ensure that our customers meet the IMBRA requirements.
If for any reason a customer does not meet the IMBRA requirements, they will receive a full and prompt refund for any tours or memberships that were purchased.
